Sebastian Heinzel, a film director

He was born in Kassel (Germany) in 1979. Currently, he is studying documentary film direction at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, Germany. His journalistic experience includes editorial work for newspaper and TV such as music television stations MTV and VIVA and Taz- Die Tageszeitung.
His topics as a young documentary filmmaker are subculture, media, metropolitan life and people. His awarded  works include B24 -24 Hours in Berlin (2003; Audience Award at the Achtung Berlin Film Festival 2005), Moonshine (2004; Best Documentary at the Interfilm Festival Berlin 2004) and 89mm (2004; honourable acclaim at the Documentary Film Festival in Kassel 2004, Best Editing at the Sehsüchte Festival in Postdam 2005 and Best Camera at the Dokufest in Prizren 2005).
