She was born in Sarajevo in 1976. She has MA degree in Russian and East European Studies from the Charles University in Prague, and in Nationalism at the Central European University in Budapest. From 2003 to 2004 she worked as a researcher on the project “Coping with Ethnicity through Institutions - Lessons Learnt from Former Yugoslavia“, and from 2004 to 2005 both as a researcher and a project coordinator at the Euro Info Correspondence Centre in Sarajevo, which provided assistance to small and medium size businesses in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Currently Tija Memisevic works as a director of the European Research Centre, an emerging think tank for the European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She has published several research studies concerning the issues connected to the European integration and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
