Marek Vitek, an investigative journalist
A-NEWS collaborator and reporter of Czech Television, Marek Vitek has been working in the media since 1991. After gaining experience in the biggest national daily and weekly papers and magazines in the Czech Republic, in 1999 he created a prestigious Eastern European current affair program FAKTA, which got three World TV Awards in past 4 years. He was awarded with the Czech Journalist Prize, Sais-Novartis Prize for Investigative Journalism at the Hopkins University in Washington in 1999, and also with the UNICEF/AMADE Prize in 2001. He has made several documentaries about Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the world.
