Committee member of the All Burma Federation of Students Union (ABFSU) and
current Secretary of the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners of
Burma, and Debbie Stothard, journalist, policy analyst, community education
consultant and government adviser.

interpreted by two Roma guitar players from Prešov (SK). EXHIBITIONS OF HAND MADE ARTS There will be two exhibitions this year where all festival visitors can help to support PEOPLE IN PERIL: HAND MADE PRODUCTS MADE BY AFGHANI AND INDONESIAN
WOMEN (A4- nultý priestor) and REPRODUCTIONS OF PAINTINGS BY KIDS AND TEENAGERS FROM
KENYAN SLUMS IN NAIROBI (FK Charlie
centrum) Purchasing any of these, you will SUPPORT either
families of the women from Afghanistan and Indonesia or directly children in
Mukuru Slum Development Programme in Nairobi which provides education and
manages a gallery. TWO EXHIBITIONS OF PHOTOGRAPHS: SPARKLE OF HEROISM OR LUKASHENKO´S BELARUS Fourteen portraits of
Belarusian activists and disidents depicting stories of their fight against dictatorship
and map violation of their personal rights will be exhibited in FK Charlie
centrum during the whole course of the festival. The exhibition was prepared
by the partner organization Člověk v tísni, based in Prague, and
photographer Alexander Polo. There will be two
documentary films screened very closely related to this topic: SQUARE (by J. Chascevastkij) and LESSON OF
BELARUSIAN (by I. Dembiňski) JOZEF KOLARČÍK FINTICKÝ: EXHIBITION OF HISTORICAL
PHOTOGRAPHS OF SLOVAK ROMAS FROM YEARS 1930-1960 (A4-nultý priestor) This is the most complete
and the oldest collection of photographs of Romas ever made in Slovakia.
