People in Peril is a non-profit civil society association, established in Slovakia in 1999.

Our mission is to mobilise the broadest possible public support so as to provide effective support to those who suffer the consequences of natural catastrophes, conflicts and authoritarian regimes. We inform the Slovak public about the challenges facing society, and to propose to our citizens various ways they can help people in need.

Thanks to public support and with the support of a number of donor agencies, we have been able to help thousands of people in 15 countries.

Our work ranges from humanitarian and development aid to support for human rights and public information activities in Slovakia.
