ONE WORLD 2007 IS OVER. 13.500 VISITORS SUPPORTED THE IDEA OF INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY


On Sunday Nov. 11 the 8th International Documentary Film Festival ONE WORLD 2007 ended. The winning title, according to spectators´ votes, is Bridge Over Wadi (2006) by brothers B. and T. Heymann. It is a film about how after years of violent conflicts parents of schoolkids decided to set up a bilingual school for children from „both banks“ on the Palestinian – Jewish territory and for a moment intended to overcome and hush nationalistic and  religious conflicts and hatred.

Between Nov 7 through Nov 11 festival visitors had a chance to see all titles in 6 screening rooms in Bratislava. The admission figure has grown this year again and the total of visitors that has been calculated so far, were as many as 13.500 viewers, which is a 1.000 more than last year. The  current result of admissions to this year´s festival has been so far calculated in Bratislava only. However, starting in November, through March, selected number of titles will travel around other Slovak cities:
Ružomberok – Banská Bystrica – Bardejov – Rimavská Sobota – Žilina – Prievidza – Pezinok – Zvolen –  Trnava – Prešov – Poprad.
