A discussion on the films Stop Filming Us and Fonja.

Is Western aid always necessary and beneficial? How do we view the countries that receive our help? Do we sometimes do more harm than good? In the discussion on the films Stop Filming Us and Fonja, we will look at the positive as well as the negative aspects of the European Union’s development aid. Moreover, we will consider not only the view of Slovak humanitarian and development organisations on neocolonialization, but the depiction of the countries of the global south in audiovisual and visual arts as well.
