The New Visual of One World Slovakia 2025

The One World festival enters its 26th edition with a new visual identity that reflects this year’s program innovation – the international competition film section European Glitch. The festival will take place from October 21 to 26 at Kino Lumière in Bratislava, and will then continue online with a selection of films from October 27 to November 2.
European Glitch: When the system breaks down
What happens when the system breaks down? A glitch – an error in the system – may at first seem like a disruption, but it is precisely in these malfunctions that space opens up for new perspectives, bold visions, and innovative outlooks on the future.
The new competition section European Glitch presents a selection of first and second feature films by young, talented European directors. Their work dares to cross established boundaries, critically reflect on the present, and at the same time bring visions of coexistence. The films in this section focus on questions of European identity and its place in a changing world – in an innovative, bold, and sensitive way.

New Visual by Andrej & Andrej
This year’s visual identity was created by the team at the graphic design studio Andrej & Andrej. It continues the innovative development of the ribbon motif, which connects not only the visual elements of the festival but also the identity of its organizer – People in Need.
This year, the ribbon together with its color scheme transforms into a glitch – a crack in the system that simultaneously opens up space for new interpretations and symbolically refers to the energy and creativity of the young generation of filmmakers.
