Martin Trabalík – director of What About Petey?

Martin Trabalík focuses on social issues in his work. During the refugee crisis in 2016, he began creating documentary projects and has since worked in Nagorno-Karabakh, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Afghanistan, and other countries. In 2018, he received the UNHCR Award and the Czech Press Photo Award for his work on the displacement of the Rohingya from Myanmar. His 2021 film Incendios won the Best Feature Documentary Award at the International Film Festival in La Paz. His second feature-length film, What About Péťa?, about a father raising a child with a disability, had its world premiere at the 27th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival.

Jan Bodnár – producent

Jan Bodnár is a Czech independent producer and publicist. As a producer, he is behind award-winning documentary films such as How I Became a Partisan (dir. Vera Lacková, 2021), Jiřík’s Vision (dir. Marta Kovářová, 2023), and Dajori (dir. Martin Páv and Nicolas Kourek, 2024). He is the founder of the production company Safe Place Production. He has participated in numerous international selective workshops, including IDFAcademy, DokIncubator, Ex Oriente, ACE Training Days, Move it on, among others. From 2016 to 2019, he worked as a dramaturge at the queer film festival Mezipatra. He regularly publishes in the magazines Cinepur, A2 – cultural bi-weekly, and collaborates with Czech Radio Vltava. He will introduced the movie What about Petey?

Jakub Socha – juror of the competition section Slovakia and Czechia for Human Rights

Jakub Socha - Polish film critic and editor. Head of the film department of the cultural magazine Dwutygodnik. He won the Krzysztof Mętrak Competition for young critics (2007). Author of the book "Hypnotyzer," dedicated to Edward Żebrowski, a legend of Polish cinema. Co-author of a collection of interviews with Polish documentary filmmakers (DOCąd. Rozmowy z polskimi dokumentalistami”. He has published in "Gazeta Wyborcza," "Dziennik," "Film," "Kino," and "Filmweb."

Josélie Neves – Audiovision without barriers, panelist

Josélia Neves has a PhD in Translation Studies and presently teaches at Universidade Aberta, Portugal. Her expertise is in Subtitling, Captioning, Audio Description, Audio-tactile Transcreation and in Multisensory Communication. Across the years, she has led numerous collaborative projects on access to television, the cinema, tourism, museums and cultural venues, the performing arts and education. She is a founding member of Transmedia.

Zvika Portnoy – director The Guest

Zvika lived and studied photography and video art at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. In 2008, during a course at the Sam Spiegel Film School, he met Zuzanna, with whom he joined forces in creating films and documentaries. Together, they made the film 15 Corners of the World, awarded at the Locarno Film Festival in 2014, and since then have been producing artistic documentaries showcased at international film festivals. Beyond filmmaking, Zvika also works in photography and video art. His works have been presented in several solo exhibitions, including the project A Moment Before Leaving. You can see their film The Guest at One World Slovakia.

Amálie Kovářová – director

Amálie Kovářová (1992) studied directing at FAMO v Písku and, after graduating, worked for Akademie věd ČR, where she filmed documentaries and reports. Her interest in politics led her to the Názorování project, and in 2018 she joined the Milion chvilek pro demokracii movement, where she had the opportunity to gain insight into its inner workings. In autumn 2022, she left the movement to gain distance while completing her film. It was selected for the prestigious DOK.incubator workshop, and her feature debut Million Moments offers a look into the heart of this civic movement. We will present this film at the Jeden svet festival.

Margje de Koning – board member of One World Slovakia

After directing documentaries for 12 years, Margje apart from teaching at the University of Amsterdam, was commissioning editor over 17 years. Also she became head of TV, Radio and NM of IKON (public Broadcaster), before become artistic director of Movies that Matter, she was head of Documentary at EO (Dutch Public Broadcast). Margje

Khrystyna Lyzohub – Director of Photography

Khrystyna Lizohub is a Ukrainian cinematographer working in documentary filmmaking. Her notable works include Butterfly Vision (2022), School Number 3 (2017), and Militantropos (2025), where she served as director of photography. Her films have been screened at major international festivals, including the Berlin International Film Festival and Cannes. The lastest documentary Militantropos will be screened at One World Slovakia

Olivia Popp – juror of the competition section Slovakia and Czechia for Human Rights

Olivia Popp is a film writer, critic, and programmer based in Berlin. Her work can primarily be found in the European trade publication Cineuropa alongside contributions in MUBI Notebook, Little White Lies, Senses of Cinema, Zippy Frames, and Modern Times Review. She also supports the editorial team of International Film Festival Rotterdam and is a co-founder of Purple Hour, a new publication for queer cinema. Olivia is an alumna of Berlinale Talents (2024) and Locarno Critics Academy (2025).

Jarmila Štuková – juror of the competition section Slovakia and Czechia for Human Rights

Jarmila Štuková is a Czech documentary filmmaker, war photographer, and creative producer. She directed the award-winning documentary Is There Any Place For Me (SK&CZ for Human Rights Award at One World Slovakia 2024) and other films, and also collaborates on television scripts focused on social issues. As a photographer, she has worked in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Nagorno-Karabakh, Congo, India, Ethiopia, and Haiti, covering war, poverty, and overlooked social issues. She also focuses on security and medical projects that use art and storytelling as tools for education, prevention, and therapy.

Lidija Zelović – juror of the competition section European Glitch

Lidija Zelović is a writer and director from the former Yugoslavia now based in the Netherlands. She is the creative producer at Zelovic Film, and has worked as an executive producer and researcher for the BBC and Channel 4. Known for documentaries, her first film, My Own Private War (2016) was the recipient of numerous awards. Home Game is her second documentary, which will be screened at One World Slovakia

Ivana Laučíková – juror of the competition section European Glitch

Ivana Laučíková studied animation at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (VŠMU), where she currently works as an associate professor. She leads the Animation Studio and teaches courses focused on directing and the theory of animation. As an author and producer, she is behind award-winning films such as The Last Bus (2011), which became the first Slovak animated film to qualify for the Oscars. She also worked as the editor-in-chief of the professional magazine on animated film Homo Felix (2010–2014). She is the co-author and director of the educational animated series for children Forest Five. She is a co-founder of the platform Open Culture! and coordinates its strategic working group.

Tomáš Poštulka – juror of the competition section European Glitch

Born in Olomouc, Czech Republic, Tomáš Poštulka studied at Palacký University and did his masters in Film and Media studies in 2020. Since 2016 he has worked for the festival Academia Film Olomouc, currently as the assistant of communication. He was responsible for the textual identity of Pastiche Filmz film club in Olomouc. In 2020, he started to work as a programmer and outreach coordinator for One World film festival. Since 2022, he is the head of programme of the festival.
