GRAEME MAXTON: GLOBAL CLIMATE EMERGENCY
So far, people have not responded effectively to the growing problems of the environmental and climate crisis, because their worldview is limited to the present. The manner in which most people perceive the meaning of life, democracy and the freedom of the individual is subtly intertwined to their detriment, with grim consequences for nature. How we ended up in this situation, what consequences are to be expected and what we should do as individuals and society are all discussed in the book of the British economist and writer Graeme Maxton, Global Climate Emergency, which is currently being published by Pro. We will consider not only its content but also related contexts and perhaps shocking but constructive solutions to the current situation.
