I DIDN’T HUMILIATE ANYBODY. EXCEPT FOR SOME FRUSTRATED WOMEN:FEMINISM, ANTIFEMINISM AND FEMALE SEXUALITY
The event consists of two parts. In the introduction, we will present the work of Icelandic artist Kristín Gunnlaugsdóttir. We will discuss her work and the depiction of vaginas in her art – the political significance it bears for her personally, why the topic of sexuality is key to her work, and the reactions she has encountered.
This will be followed by a debate with Lucie Jarkovská and Adriana Mesochoritisová on the rise of conservatism in Slovakia and Central Europe. The debate will focus on the restriction of reproductive rights and on the current anti-sexual and conservative political agenda, whose impact on our lives in the area of reproductive and sexual rights may be felt for decades.
